Between 1982 and 1985, the Puccio family of San Isidro — deli owners, school runs, a rugby-star son — kidnapped and killed wealthy acquaintances, holding victims captive inside the family home.
The case forced Argentina, at the dawn of its democracy, to confront how the dictatorship’s methods — abduction, captivity, disappearance — had survived into private hands. It later became the film “El Clan.”
